Simple milk vat monitoring setup for NZ & Australian dairy farms

The Green Dome:

The lidar sensor is installed on top of your vat. It accurately measures milk volume in real-time and sends data to the transceiver - no manual dip readings required.

The Transciever:

The transceiver is installed close to the milking line so that all sensors can be wired back to it to transmit the data. The transceiver receives data from the milk sensors and then transmits to the cloud to display in your app and so you can receive alerts.

The App:

How do I get free milk vat monitoring through Fonterra's MVMS plan in New Zealand?

To get set up, Fonterra needs to notify us directly. Talk to your Fonterra RAS about starting with Levno for Milk, and they’ll arrange for us to set it up.

How long before I can be up and running?

Does Levno require Wi-Fi or cellphone coverage?

You don’t need Wi-Fi. Levno connects through cell coverage, which reaches most areas across New Zealand.

Yes some milk processors do, have a chat to your regular contact that you supply milk to about milk monitoring. Levno can be installed on a single farm or at scale. Or if you prefer let us know and we’re always happy to share info about milk monitoring!

What does installation involve and do I need to do it myself?

No you don’t, you can leave the tools for another job! At Levno we have a team of specialist Field Technicians that manage the installation work. An install takes approx. 1 hour and there’s no interruption to your farming operations.

What sort of milk tanks/vats can this be set up on?

Levno can be set up on most standard milk vats. Our equipment is plug-and-play, non-intrusive, and no part of the hardware touches the milk.
